Acai Bowl Recipe

Summertime is just around the corner and what’s better during summer than a fresh açaí bowl?! Not only will it cool you down but açaí is also loaded with powerful plant compounds that act as antioxidants and could have benefits for your brain, heart, and overall health. Check my personal favorite açaí Bowl recipe below and share your creations with me on instagram! #OGHealth

Add to a high powered blender:

  • 1 packet unsweetened frozen açaí from Sambazon

  • 1/2 cup apple juice with no added sugar

  • 1/2 cup frozen banana slices (about 1 small banana)

  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries

  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries

  • 1 TBSP honey

  • Optional: you can also add 1 TBSP cocoa powder to the base if you're in the mood for a chocolate ice cream substitute!

Top your bowl: Below are my recommendations;

  • 1 tablespoonhoney

  • Handful vanilla almond granola, or walnuts

  • Fresh fruit: such as fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and banana: fruit sliced thinly or chopped

  • 1 tablespoonhemp seeds

  • 1-2 tablespoons almond butter

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa nibs
